A proposal that reads like you already started the job — restating their problem better than they did, with a plan, price and easy yes.
Write a freelance proposal that wins. The job: {PASTE THE JOB POST / CLIENT BRIEF}. About me: {MY RELEVANT EXPERIENCE + 1-2 RESULTS WITH NUMBERS}. My price: {RATE OR PROJECT PRICE}.
The winning principle: clients hire the freelancer who understands their problem best, not the one with the longest bio. So:
1. OPENING (2 lines): restate THEIR problem more precisely than they wrote it — include the
implication they didn't say out loud ("...which is probably costing you X"). No "Dear sir, I am excited."
2. THE PLAN: 3–4 concrete steps I'd take on THEIR project, specific enough to prove I've already thought about it ("First, I'd audit your checkout events — most tracking gaps hide there"). This section wins the job.
3. PROOF: 1–2 results, numbers first ("Grew organic traffic 4× in 6 months for a directory site"), each in one line.
4. PRICE + SCOPE: state it plainly with what's included and one boundary (revisions/timeline).
Confidence, no apology, no "negotiable".
5. THE EASY YES: end with a low-friction next step ("Happy to record a 3-minute Loom reviewing
your current setup — want that?").
Length: under 200 words. The client should finish thinking "this person already started working."
