Busuu is a language-learning platform combining structured AI-guided lessons with a unique feature: a community of over 120 million native speakers who correct your writing and speaking exercises, giving you real human feedback that most apps can't offer. You submit a short exercise in your target language, and native speakers of that language review and correct it — while you help others learning your language in return.

Busuu offers 14 languages through a well-structured curriculum built around the CEFR framework (so your progress maps to recognized proficiency levels A1–C1), with grammar lessons, vocabulary, conversation practice, and AI features that personalize your study plan, identify weak spots, and offer conversation practice. It also provides official McGraw Hill Education certificates upon completing levels — a credential you can show employers.

The free version offers basic lessons with limits. Busuu Premium (subscription, roughly $6–$14/month depending on plan length) unlocks the full curriculum, offline mode, the native-speaker feedback community, grammar lessons and certificates.

Strengths: the native-speaker correction community is genuinely valuable and rare, CEFR-aligned structure, official certificates, and a solid free tier. Weaknesses: the best feature (community feedback) requires Premium, fewer languages than Duolingo, and community response times vary.
