The 5-email sequence new subscribers get — from "who are you" to first sale — with subject lines and send timing.
Write a 5-email welcome sequence for new subscribers to {MY NEWSLETTER/LEAD MAGNET}. My business:
{WHAT I DO}. Eventual paid offer: {PRODUCT/SERVICE}. Voice: {FRIENDLY EXPERT / WITTY / CALM
PROFESSIONAL}.
The sequence (with send timing):
EMAIL 1 (instantly): deliver what they signed up for + one unexpected bonus tip + set expectations ("every Tuesday, 3-minute read") + one question that invites a reply (replies train inbox providers to trust me).
EMAIL 2 (day 2): my story — why I do this, the struggle that made me credible, in 150 words.
Humans subscribe to humans.
EMAIL 3 (day 4): pure value — my single best actionable insight, complete in the email (no "click to read more" tease).
EMAIL 4 (day 7): social proof + the problem my paid offer solves, framed as a story about someone like them. Soft mention, no hard pitch.
EMAIL 5 (day 10): the direct-but-graceful pitch — what I offer, who it's for, who it's NOT for
(honesty converts), one CTA.
Per email: subject (max 45 chars, curiosity or benefit) + preview text + body under 200 words.
