Its core experience is Mem Chat: ask questions in natural language ("what did I decide about pricing last month?") and Mem answers from your own notes, with sources. Notes connect automatically through AI-detected relationships, related notes surface while you write, and Smart Search finds ideas even when you don't remember the exact words you used. Quick capture via keyboard shortcuts, email-to-Mem and mobile keeps friction low.

Strengths: genuinely useful retrieval — it's the closest thing to "chat with your second brain" in the note space; zero organization overhead; fast capture. Weaknesses: less structured than Notion for databases and team wikis; power users who love manual organization systems (PARA, Zettelkasten) may find the "let AI handle it" philosophy uncomfortable; and trusting years of notes to a newer company is a consideration — export regularly.
