Melies vs Videez

Melies is an AI filmmaking platform that helps users generate videos from scripts, storyboards, and text prompts. It combines AI-assisted scriptwriting, scene planning, image generation, and video creation into a single production workflow. The platform is designed for filmmakers, educators, marketers, and content creators. Melies streamlines the process of producing cinematic AI videos without advanced editing skills. It supports collaborative cloud-based projects.

Videez is an AI video generator that turns text prompts and images into short, shareable videos. You describe the scene you want, or upload an image to animate, and Videez produces a clip you can download and post.

It is designed for creators and marketers who need quick video content for social media without filming or editing: short promos, visual ideas, animated photos and eye-catching posts. The interface is available in several languages, including English, French, Spanish, Arabic and German.

Good fit if you: want to create short AI videos for social media from text or images in minutes.
Less ideal if you: need long-form video editing, precise timelines or professional post-production…
